Stomach Virus Outbreak At Albany Elementary School

Classes at Periwinkle Elementary School in Albany are cancelled today because of a stomach virus affecting students, teachers and staff. The school district made the decision after consulting with the Linn County Health Department. Those who are sick should stay home for at least 48 hours after the symptoms have passed. Every building in the district was disinfected this weekend to keep the illness from spreading.
