Southwest Airlines To Buy 100 Smaller Boeing 737 Max Planes

(Dallas, TX) — Southwest Airlines is buying 100 Boeing 737 Max 7 planes. The Dallas-based carrier said today the new agreement converts 70 of its orders for Max 8 planes to the smaller Max 7 jets. Southwest also added options for another 155 passenger jets through 2029. The company which operates a fleet of all-Boeing 737s called the order a vote of confidence in the planes.
