So Much To See in the Northwest This Weekend!

We asked you a couple of weeks ago for help entertaining a couple of kids who were coming to visit.  Kierstyn and Kynzi were only here a week, but we squeezed a lot in.  Some of the places they got to see included Oaks Park, Mt. Hood Ski bowl, took a cruise with the Portland Spirit,  Mt St Helens and the Ape Caves, and spent a lot of time at the Columbia River. They also went swimming at Paradise Point State park and Vancouver Lake.

It was their first time visiting Portland too and did have a couple of things they didn’t like. #1 was the traffic, and the other was when Kynzi got stung by a bee.

As for this weekend the Columbia County Fair and Rodeo is underway through Sunday, The Milwaukee Porchfest continues with 8 different locations tonight from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It’s a free event.  The Washington County Fair kicks off tonight at 5pm and  opens at 10am both Saturday and Sunday.  The Northwest’s largest Polynesian Festival is underway at Esther Short Park in Vancouver all weekend.  Flicks on the Bricks is another free event happening at Pioneer Courthouse Square from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
