Portland, Ore. — An early morning party ended quickly when shots rang out.
Portland Police were called to a building near the 200 block of Southeast Madison Street in the Buckman Neighborhood. Officers arrived and learned at least 5 people were injured by gunfire. Three of the victims were taken to the hospital by private vehicles, two others were transported by ambulance. All five victims are expected to be ok.
Police say the event was an “all ages” type of party in a warehouse-type building.
Investigators say there was an argument between at least two people right before the shooting and that numerous witnesses left the party without providing statements to police.
The Portland Police Gun Violence Reduction Team is investigating the shooting.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting, including information neared from social media, to contact investigators.
