Shooting During Attempted Arrest In Longview

LONGVIEW, Wash. — A shooting took place as Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to arrest a suspect in Longview early Tuesday morning.
The suspect got away from deputies near Pacific Way and Ocean Beach Highway just after 1:15am. They have not been identified.
Investigators have not said why the suspect was wanted or who fired. Nobody was injured.
The Lower Columbia Major Crimes Team will be leading the investigation.
