Sewage Leaks Into The Willamette River

The Bureau of environmental services reported a sewage leak today around 3pm.

City crews discovered the leak around 10:30am this morning and estimate the spill at 3,000 gallons.

Spokesperson Diane Dulken with the city of Portland Environmental services pinpointed the release area near the Morrison bridge. As a precaution, the public is advised to avoid contact with the Willamette River downstream of the area for 48 hours.
