SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A 17-year-old was sentenced to six years in a youth facility for firing a gun at a car during a robbery attempt. Two teens were inside, but not injured.

The Statesman Journal reports that Stefone Querns, of Salem, Oegon, was charged as an adult and sentenced by Judge Tracy Prall Wednesday in Marion County Circuit Court.

Querns pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted first-degree robbery and second-degree kidnapping. He will be able to have a “second look” hearing halfway through his sentence to determine whether he is eligible for early release.

Querns was arrested in April on two counts of attempted aggravated murder with a firearm, two counts of first-degree armed robbery and one count of second-degree kidnapping.
