Salem, Ore. – The Salem City Council may try once more to vote on a proposed ban on sitting and lying on sidewalks. The Statesman Journal reports the council is facing growing pressure to deal with homelessness. The proposed ordinance could come up for a vote on November 25th. Salem made a push for a sit-lie-law in 2017, but councilors rejected it after a public outcry.
