Clark County, Washington – To strike.. or not to strike. That’s the question today for many grocery store workers in Southwest Washington. The local union that represents the United Food and Commercial workers is holding meetings today through Wednesday. They will ultimate decide on a strike. The Columbian reports it could potentially effect stores like Albertsons, Fred Meyers, QFC, and Safeyway.  In areas like Vancouver, Longview and Kelso. Organizers say employers are unwilling to consider consistent financial hardships. The union says they’ve been trying to negotiate new contracts for over a year without any agreement.
