Portland’s Unemployment Ticking Back Up

PORTLAND, Ore. – The unemployment rate in the Portland-metro area is ticking back up.
The Oregon Employment Department says the rate rose from 3.7 percent in October to 3.9 percent in November.
About 56,000 Portlanders were unemployed last month.
That’s almost 7,000 more than November 2021.
The statewide unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent last month.
