Portland’s Unemployment Rate Improves

PORTLAND, Ore. – The unemployment rate in the Portland-Metro area dropped from 5.7 percent in June to 5.3 percent in July.
The good news is thanks to a gain of 5,700 jobs last month.
About 63 percent of the jobs lost at the start of the pandemic have been regained.
