Portland’s Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.7 Percent

PORTLAND, Ore. – The unemployment rate in the Portland metro area has dropped from 3.8 percent in March to 3.7 percent in April.
The Oregon Employment Department says that’s thanks to 2,700 jobs added last month.
The region has now regained 89 percent of the jobs lost during the pandemic.
