Portland Trail Blazers Re-Sign Forward Jerami Grant

PORTLAND, Ore. — General Manager Joe Cronin announced today that the Portland Trail Blazers have re-signed forward Jerami Grant. As per team policy, specific details of the contract were not disclosed.

Grant, 29, initially joined the Trail Blazers on July 6, 2022. During the previous season, he showcased strong performances, averaging 20.5 points (47.5% FG, 40.1% 3-PT, 81.3% FT), 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 35.6 minutes per game in 63 games (63 starts) for Portland. Notably, he recorded seven games with over 30 points and achieved a career-high of 44 points on November 25 against the New York team.

Having amassed nine years of experience in the NBA, Grant maintains career averages of 12.3 points (45.6% FG, 35.8% 3-PT, 73.7% FT), 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 618 games (333 starts). He has played for various teams, including Portland, Detroit (2020-22), Denver (2019-20), Oklahoma City (2016-19), and Philadelphia (2014-16). Grant was originally selected as the 39th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. It is worth mentioning that he hails from Portland and is the son of retired NBA player Harvey Grant, who spent three seasons with the Trail Blazers from 1993 to 1996.
