PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Demonstrations took place as expected this afternoon in Portland.

PPB tweeted the following tweet:
Some individuals are clashing in the area of NE 122nd south of Sandy Blvd. People are lighting fireworks and dispersing chemical spray. Those crossing line into criminal activity are subject to arrest. Some traffic lanes are being periodically affected.

City leaders on Friday denounced violence and urged demonstrators to “choose to act peacefully.”
