Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw about life and work in the Rose City

Portland, Ore. Portland’s Police Chief went cruising around Portland and opened up about a lot of things. It’s part of a series called KGW Carpool. Chief Danielle Outlaw tells News Partner KGW she has two kids in college, she describes her parenting style as strict and firm. The Chief often drives out of town to clear her head. She loves music and is passionate about cooking. 90’s R&B is a favorite. She listens to gospel music on the way to work, or 2Pac if she thinks it’s going to be a tougher day. Chief Outlaw says until she got here she never realized she absorbed people’s energy and sometimes it gets really draining.
