Portland Marks Wettest April On Record

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland is coming off of its wettest April on record.
The National Weather Service says the city received a record-breaking 5.73″ of rain at the Portland International Airport last month.
While not official just yet, it looks like we broke the all time April precip record at PDX. As of 10am here are the top 5 wettest Aprils at the airport. #orwx #wawx
2022: 5.37″
1993: 5.26″
1996: 5.12″
2011: 5.04″

The record follows last year’s historically dry April when the city recorded its least amount of rain since 1941 with 0.39″.
Portland’s average rainfall for April is 2.89″.
