Person Seriously Hurt In Corbett Assault

Multnomah County, Oregon – Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an assault early this morning out in the Corbett area of the Columbia River Gorge. Sgt. Brandon White tells us it happened just before three am near the intersection of the old historic Columbia River Highway and East Bell road in Springdale. They say a family member came home to find a relative had been assaulted and was seriously hurt. The victim is expected to survive. Deputies say right now they believe there is no danger to the public. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
