Person detained as Death in Old Town investigated as Homicide

Portland Police say that a death investigation in the Old Town Neighborhood is being investigated as a homicide.

Saturday afternoon officers responded to a death investigation call at an apartment on Northwest 2nd Avenue.

When officers arrived they found deceased man.

Police say that early investigation suggests the death was a homicide and one person was detained.

The cause of the death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
