Pedestrian Killed In Beaverton

An 86 year old man was struck and killed on Scholls Ferry Road near SW Crystal St.
The man was crossing the street at a marked crosswalk, but witnesses on the scene said the “WALK” signal was not lit and traffic had the green light. He was transported to a local hospital where he passed away. His identity has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. Police do not believe that speeding or impairment played a part in the accident.
