Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Driver in Aloha

Aloha, OR. — A pedestrian was struck by a driver on Tualatin Valley Highway at 178th Avenue just before 9 p.m. Monday night. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says the victim, a 52-year-old Beaverton man, was taken to OHSU where he was pronounced dead. Deputies don’t know if he was in a crosswalk or not. The 32-year-old driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with deputies. It’s not clear if the weather played a role in the crash, but deputies don’t believe impairment was a factor.
