Oregon’s Weekly COVID-19 Report Shows Steep Increases

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Oregon Health Authority’s weekly COVID-19 report shows increases in new daily cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Between Monday, August 9th and Sunday August 15th, new cases jumped 53 percent, hospitalizations rose from 224 to 546, and deaths increased from 40 to 46.

Oregon’s percentage of positive tests increased to 11.8 percent.
