Oregon’s Weekly COVID-19 Report Shows Continued Increases

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Oregon Health Authority’s weekly COVID-19 report shows continued increases in new daily cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Between Monday, August 15th through Sunday, August 22nd, cases increased by 16 percent, hospitalizations jumped from 546 to 601, and deaths were up from 46 to 87.

The state’s percentage of positive cases was 12.3 percent.
