Oregon’s Daily COVID-19 Count: 423 New Cases, 9 More Deaths

PORTLAND, Ore. – There are 423 new COVID-19 cases in Oregon Friday and 9 more reported deaths from the virus.

That brings the state’s totals to 20,636 cases and 348 deaths.

The new cases reported today are in the following counties: Baker (1), Benton (3), Clackamas (16), Clatsop (1), Columbia (2), Deschutes (18), Douglas (3), Grant (1), Hood River (3), Jackson (12), Jefferson (5), Josephine (3), Klamath (1), Lane (13), Lincoln (1), Linn (6), Malheur (21), Marion (47), Morrow (21), Multnomah (110), Polk (7), Umatilla (53), Union (2), Wasco (3), Washington (53), and Yamhill (17)

417,057 people have tested negative for the virus.

The deaths occurred between July 31st and August 6th and were people between the ages of 75 and 94.

6 of the 9 people are confirmed to have had underlying medical conditions.

204 people are currently hospitalized by the virus, while 18 people are on a ventilator.

4,111 people are considered recovered.
