Keizer, Or. –  Oregon has a new law that allows year round daylight saving time, but you’ll still need to set your clock back an hour this weekend. The measure’s co-sponsor, Representative Bill Post from Keizer says that’s because the law states Washington and California must also approve the switch and then the states will need to seek Congressional approval.

Post says  Washington and the California Assembly have approved year round daylight saving time, but the California Senate won’t take up the issue until next year.

He says Utah, Nevada, Idaho and British Columbia are all watching with interest and says “British Columbia’s Parliament is considering taking up the bill themselves.”
