Woman Dead After Reportedly Jumping From Freeway Overpass

PORTLAND, Ore. — Investigators say it appears a woman died after jumping from the Northeast Halsey overpass on to Interstate 205 early Friday morning and was hit by several vehicles.

Police responded to a report of a person lying on the freeway around 4:30am.  Investigators are asking to hear from anyone who was driving through the area at the time.

The woman has not been identified.

I-205 northbound was closed for about six hours.
