FREDERICK, Md. – Navy Counselor 1st Class Derrick Wolf, right, a native of Brush Prairie, Washington, took an important step in his career – reenlisting for five more years of service in the U.S. Navy on Sept. 6 at Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Frederick, Navy Recruiting District Philadelphia.

Wolf, a graduate of Heritage High School in Vancouver, Washington, joined the Navy in 2005 and was previously stationed aboard USS Gunston Hall, Assault Craft Unit Four, USS Carter Hall, NRD Portland, followed by reporting to NRS Frederick, Maryland.

NRD Philadelphia encompasses Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland, providing recruiting services from more than 30 recruiting stations with the goal to attract the highest quality candidates to ensure the ongoing success of America’s Navy.

Wolf’s reenlisting officer was close friend and mentor, USMC Chief Warrant Officer 3 (retired) David Howell.
