PORTLAND, Ore. – Multnomah County’s COVID-19 curve continues to trend in the right direction, “Where we are now, after a steady decline, is actually just finally below our peak of our next highest wave, which was last winter in January. While it feels like we’re on the other side of the Delta variant wave, we still have a ways to go.”

Public Health Officer Dr. Jennifer Vines says the county’s percentage of positive tests is now about 5 percent, “And we’re tracking pretty much with Washington County. Clackamas is a little higher than us…statewide even higher.”

And she says the latest data show positive news regarding pediatric cases, “We see a bit of a bump because of the Delta surge, but not terrible. And so our pediatric hospitals continue to have capacity, continue to function.”
