BEND, Ore. (AP) – An educational assistant at a middle school north of Bend has been accused of sexually abusing a middle school student.

The Bulletin reports 25-year-old Kristin Stickler of Madras, who is also an assistant track coach at Jefferson County Middle School, was arrested Friday.

Court documents say that from January into April, Stickler sexually abused a boy under the age of 14 who she had contacted online.

Stickler is charged with online sexual corruption of a child, eight counts of sexual abuse and sodomy, along with endangering the welfare of a minor.

Jefferson County School District Superintendent Ken Parshall says the district placed Stickler on administrative leave April 22 when school officials heard about the allegations and reported the allegations to police.

She is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $250,000 bond. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
