MAX Service Restored On The Westside After Extensive Repairs

PORTLAND, Ore. — MAX service was restored Friday afternoon after extensive repairs when 1,500′ of overhead wires were ripped down and other equipment was damaged near Sunset Transit Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Passengers were moved on to shuttle buses between Beaverton Transit Center and the Library and Galleria stops in downtown Portland.

TriMet tells FM News 101 that they’re not yet sure what caused the damage.
