Man Shot To Death In Tent In North Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man found dead inside a tent in North Portland on Thursday morning was shot to death.

The shooter is believed to have left the scene at North Vancouver Avenue and Farragut Street just after 10:15 in a vehicle.

The man has been identified as 53-year-old Michael Johnson.  His killer has not been arrested.

Detectives are asking to hear from anyone who was in Farragut Park on December 23rd between the hours of 9:00am and 10:30am, specifically anyone with video.

This is the city’s record 88th homicide of the year.
