Man Riding Electric Motorcycle Dies After Hit By Car On Powell Blvd.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man riding an electric motorcycle has died after being hit by a car in Southeast Portland last week.
Witnesses say he came upon traffic unexpectedly on Southeast Powell near 50th Avenue around 11:15 on the morning of May 4th. The driver who hit him had no time to avoid the collision.
The man is identified as 43-year-old Shane Johnson.
He’s the 22nd person and the third motorcyclist to lose their life in traffic crashes in Portland this year.
