Man Identified In Portland’s 28th Homicide

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot and killed near North Cook Street and Gantenbein Avenue late on the night of April 11th.

Officers responded to the area just after 10:00pm and found 59-year-old Robert Chambers wounded.  He died at the hospital.

The shooter was not arrested and there’s no description at this time.

This is the city’s 28th homicide of the year.  As of the date of the shooting, there had been at least 418 shootings this year that have injured 125 people.
