Hillsboro, Oregon – A man is dead after getting into a shoot out with police late Saturday night in Hillsboro. It happened just before 11:30pm on Southeast 54th avenue. Hillsboro Police say they were responding to a domestic disturbance call and as they approached the home, officers met the suspect who was armed with a gun. That’s when shots were fired. The suspect was killed. Lt. Henry Reimann with Hillsboro Police tells us no officers were hurt in the shooting. The names of the suspect and officers involved have not been released yet. Since it was Hillsboro Police officers involved in the shooting, the Washington County Sheriff’s office will lead the investigation.

On 03-10-2018 at 11:22 p.m. the Hillsboro Police Department Responded to a Domestic Disturbance on the 2000 block of SE 54th Ave.
As officers approached the residence, they encountered a male adult armed with a firearm. During the initial contact there was an exchange of gunfire. This person died at the scene. No officers were harmed during this incident.
The name of the deceased and officers will not be released at this time.
The Washington County Majors Crimes Team will lead this investigation.
