Man Charged With Girlfriend’s Murder In Salem

SALEM, Ore. — A man is facing murder charges for shooting and killing his girlfriend in Salem.
32-year-old Amanda Mankins was found wounded at a residence in the 1100 block of Norway Avenue NE just after 1:00 on Wednesday morning. She died at the hospital.
29-year-old Matthew Hansen is charged with murder in the second degree and unlawful use of a weapon.
Hansen lived with the victim. There’s no word why he shot her.
