At least 31 Oregon health care workers have tested positive for coronavirus.

This comes after warnings from those on the front lines who’ve been saying they’re worried this would happen.

A respiratory therapist working at Oregon Health Sciences University said he was worried Monday.

“We’ve no doubt that one of us is going to fall ill very soon,” he said.

By then, some of his co workers already had: OHSU’s President announced that as of Sunday 12 staff members tested positive

for the new coronavirus.

Providence Health and Services has confirmed the infection’s hit ten of its employees.

Legacy Health added another 8, with COVID 19.

And a Linn County health care worker with an unknown employer has also tested positive.

But these numbers represent just a fraction of the hundreds of local health care workers tested so far.
