BEAVERTON, Ore. — The Beaverton School District volunteer run Clothes for Kids Program is once again up and running.  After literally starting in a closet at Raleigh Hills back in the 70’s, the program has grown over the years.  Details for how to donate or benefit are below.

The district-run Clothes for Kids is now open. Appointments are required. To schedule, please use the “book appointment” button, or call 503-356-4322. Visits are limited to one adult with four children or two adults with 8 children. All visitors must wear masks. If you don’t have your own, we’ll provide one.

Clothes for Kids is located in the portable on the west side of the District Administration Center, 16550 SW Merlo Road.

DONATIONS NOW ACCEPTED

Donations of new and gently used clothing are being accepted during business hours. Donation bins are located in front of the portables.

MOST URGENT NEEDS:

  • ADULT LARGE TO XXL T-SHIRTS IN BOTH GENDERS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
  • LARGE TO XXL SPORTS BRAS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
  • NEW/GENTLY USED SWEATPANTS IN ALL SIZES FOR BOTH GENDERS
  • NEW/GENTLY USED BLUE JEANS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN SIZES 4T TO 10
  • LIGHT WEIGHT/KNITTED WINTER GLOVES

Ongoing needs of the program:
  • New underwear and socks for all ages and sizes
  • Pants for elementary-aged students in sizes 5-12
  • Coats for elementary-aged students in sizes 5-12
  • Department store shopping bags with handles

Clothes for Kids is operated by volunteers from the School District’s parent groups and Beaverton community to provide free clothing for students in grades K-12 from families with limited income.

Students can visit the Clothes for Kids two times per school year.

Donations of clean, attractive, school-appropriate clothing such as warm jackets, sweatshirts, mittens and jeans are always needed.

We also accept financial contributions. Make checks payable to the Clothes for Kids and mail to 16550 SW Merlo Road, Beaverton, OR 97003.
