It’s Red Nose Day!
LOS ANGELES (AP) – One of the stars of `This Is Us’ says one of the simplest things to improve the lives of young people is to “get a kid educated, to get a kid healthy, to get a kid safe.” And that’s one of the reasons you’ll see Milo Ventimiglia on tonight’s Red Nose Day USA special. The actor says he got a firsthand look at how money raised from the annual NBC event is being used. He visited an area near Nairobi, Kenya back in April. And he says while in Africa, he saw kids being given “a better shot at life.” Terry Crews will host the event, which runs Thursday from 8-10 p.m., eastern. There will be musical performances from John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban, Blake Shelton and Sting. So far the American version of Red Nose Day has raised close to $150 million.
