Portland Ore – Alana Simmons grandfather was the pastor of the church in Charleston where a white supremacist gunned down nine African-Americans attending a prayer group back in 2015. She is speaking in behalf of a group called “Hate Won’t Win.” Simmons laid a wreath at the Hollywood Transit Center to honor the Victims of last year’s MAX attack. She’ll keynote the Portland Good Friday Breakfast at The Convention Center Friday morning.
