If Your Abandoned Car Has Been Towed

For some people, staying at home and hunkering down wasn’t an option due to work or other obligations they had to do in person, and a number of commuters ended up in a worse situation than expected. Having to abandon their cars.

PBOT has said it wouldn’t issue parking citations for cars that exceed time limits at parking meters, and other public parking spaces through Saturday.

This includes vehicles that are towed because they’re blocking a travel lane or impeding access, which would normally run close to $300 dollars.  Although PBOT won’t cite vehicle owners for violations, owners will be responsible for any towing fees, including tows from roads managed by ODOT.

If your car is towed before you get back to it, you can head to the website AutoReturn, who the city is partnering with to help speed up the process to find it.
