It’s hard to find words to describe the beauty of the Northwest, and pictures don’t often do it justice.   I  took my first trip into the Olympic National Park, and was awed by it’s beauty!

I went with Joan Wright and Linda Brown, who live in a state that has a much different topography:  Texas.  Joan was born in Idaho and lived in Seattle for many years and is very well acquainted with the Olympic Peninsula, so she planned out our trip.  Joan is turning 79 this month, but that doesn’t slow her down.  She’s been on the road in her RV, pulling a vehicle, with just her two dogs Dot and Dash.  She’s not timid about solo traveling, and loves to hike, bird watch and take in the beauty of our planet.   She encourages anyone of ANY age to take a walk, whether it’s a block or a mile.
