Remember Lady Gaga’s shoes WITHOUT any heels? They’re real and the world-class artist is the star in a local garden. It’s a balance of art and science.

The world-renowned artist is Noritaka Tatehana, you might know his name if you look up Lady Gaga’s shoes. But this is his first ever solo show in North America and it opened here at home, at the Portland Japanese Garden.

Dr. Laura Mueller is the art curator, she says “the garden and Tatehana honor generations of culture and tradition, and Japanese history.”

She goes on to say, “this is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with Tatehana’s wide variety of art, all in the lush setting of the gardens.”

She exhibit runs until December 1st. Check out the shoes and the other photos on the Garden’s website.
