Health Care is Big Topic at Wyden Town Hall

Hillsboro, Oregon – People are turning out in force at town hall meetings to oppose the new health care bill that Republicans passed in the House this week. U.S. Senator from Oregon Ron Wyden held a town hall meeting Saturday night, and hundreds of people attended at Liberty High School in Hillsboro. Wyden called the bill a really a big tax cut for the rich disguised as a health care bill. Wyden also said the bill would take health care away from people with pre-existing conditions, and away from 24 million people overall.
The American Health Care Act now goes to the Senate, and Wyden vowed to fight the bill so it will not replace Obamacare.
Wyden also supported investigating the ties between Trump and Russia, and took questions from the crowd.
