Habitat For Humanity Opens News Housing In Bend
Bend, Ore. – Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) and Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity have completed 12 new energy-efficient, affordable homes in Bend as part of the 27th Street Townhomes development. The three-bedroom homes, equipped with solar panels to lower energy costs, are located near parks and hiking trails.
One new homeowner, Ashley, a single mother, praised Habitat for Humanity for helping her achieve stability for her family.
With Bend’s median home price at $775,000, the townhomes offer affordable options for local families. The project received support from OHCS programs, including the Local Innovation and Fast Track (LIFT) Homeownership program.
Bend-Redmond Habitat will also open seven more homes in Redmond later this fall.
