From Roller Derby to Geeks and Cookies

David Kaulitz opened up Vault 31 in Vancouver a few years back.   He and his sister Sarah Ahlvers were both in the tech field locally and both had dreams of breaking into the food business.   David went first, and during the pandemic Sarah lost her job so she started selling cookies out of Vault 31.  It was so successful that she opened up a cookie cart, which is in the Cart Blocks in downtown Portland.   It’s got a super creative name:  Cookie McCakeFace.   David plans to open a restaurant this fall in Vancouver called Don’t Die Cafe.  The brother and sister have another thing in common:  Roller Derby.  Both played on teams locally.
