From A Better Naito To A Better Madison

PORTLAND, Ore.– SW 4th Avenue at Madison over to the West end of the Hawthorne Bridge has some new lane changes. One lane accommodates buses and bikes the other two make way for cars.
Distinctive markers a couple feet tall make in clear there’s a separation between lanes. Portland Bureau of Transportation says 5 buse lines use SW Madison equal to 23 thousand trips a day .
PBOT believes these small changes in traffic patterns can make a big difference in getting around.
