Yamhill County, Oregon – The bodies of a Salem woman and her 3-year-old son have been found in a heavily wooded area of Yamhill County.

Karissa Fretwell, who was 25, and her son, William Fretwell, were last seen on May 13, and reported missing several days later. Michael Wolfe, the boy’s father, was arrested in Portland on May 24 in connection with their deaths.

On Saturday, searchers were led to a remote area about 10 miles west of Yamhill. After two hours of searching, they found two bodies.

According to the Yamhill County Sheriff’s office Karissa Fretwell was killed by a gun shot to the head. Bill’s Cause of death hasn’t been confirmed and will be announced after further testing.

Last week Wolfe was indicted on two counts of aggravated murder and two counts of kidnapping.
