Portland, Or. –  A four alarm fire that started in an old driving range in NE Portland and destroyed  five town homes and dozens of cars is still smoldering today. Firefighters remain on the scene off NE Russell and 85th trying to make sure the hot spots don’t rekindle the blaze. It also damaged some businesses.

At the height of the fire, more than 12,000 Pacific Power customers were without electricity. Residents were asked to stay inside because of the smokey conditions.  The fire cause has not been determined.  The Portland Fire Bureau wants to hear from you if saw what might have sparked the fire.
