Former Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Mike Shuler Dies

PORTLAND, Ore. – Sad news out of Rip City Wednesday.
The Blazers say former head coach Mike Shuler has died.
Schuler led Portland from 1987 to 1989 and won the NBA Coach of the year award in his first season on the sidelines.
An Ohio University alum, Shuler is in the Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame.
He was 81.
