Floater Drowns In Santiam River

ALBANY, Ore. – An Albany man floating the Santiam River near I-5 drowned on Sunday.
Witnesses tell the Marion County Sheriff’s Office the man fell off his inner tube and went under.
He came back up and tried to swim to shore, but was swept away by the current.
The man was not wearing a life jacket.
