Fire Damages Scappoose Mobile Home

SCAPPOOSE, Ore. — Fire ripped through a mobile home on Branch Road in Scappoose late Saturday night.

The fire started in a closet and spread into the ceiling of a single-wide trailer.  The homeowner used an extinguisher to keep most of the fire under control.

Crews stayed on the scene to make sure hot spots did not reignite.  Investigators say the fire appears to be caused by an electrical problem.
